What we collect

When you submit text or a URL for analysis, we process it on our servers using local AI detection engines. We do not send your submitted content to any third-party services — all 23 engines run locally on our infrastructure.

Data retention

Analysis reports are stored temporarily so they can be viewed and shared via their unique report URL. Reports are automatically deleted after 30 days. We do not keep copies of the original submitted text beyond what is shown in the report excerpt.

Cookies & tracking

SlopTotal does not use cookies, analytics trackers, or fingerprinting. We do not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any equivalent. The site uses no third-party JavaScript except Google Fonts for typography.

Chrome extension

The SlopTotal Chrome extension communicates only with the API server you configure (defaults to your own local instance). It does not transmit data to any other endpoint. The extension stores your preferences (toggle states, API URL) in local browser storage only.

Rate limiting

We apply rate limiting to prevent abuse. Your IP address may be processed for this purpose. The website is hosted on GitHub Pages.
